No Photos Please

For all of 2016 and half of 2017, I traveled through South America, Europe, and Asia โ€“ all without taking a typical travel picture. No photos of sunsets by the beach. No overhead shots of exotic meals. No selfies.

What?! Why?! I draw things for a living, so what better way to capture my travels than by sketching, not snapping, my way around the world? Iโ€™m also aware that I live in a world of selfie sticks and sharing anything and everything that I do. With the ability and desire to capture everything so quickly, Iโ€™ve been guilty of spending more time fussing over angles and filters than actually enjoying the moment. So, instead of experiencing the world through a screen, I wanted to spend the year documenting my adventures the old-fashioned way through lettering and drawings in my sketchbook.

You can follow along on the blog and on Instagram. Happy travels and doodles to all!
