WEEK 11 - It's the little things that count.

"Late for work but your boss isn't in yet" hand lettering by Lauren Hom.

Hello and welcome to Week 11 of #HOMwork!

This week's assignment is going to be short and sweet because in the past week alone, I've:

  • flown to Las Vegas to paint a mural at a trade show

  • flown to Los Angeles to attend an Adobe event

  • been preparing to reopen enrollment for my popular online class, Passion to Paid

...and if I'm being completely honest (which I always try to be with you), I'm pretty exhausted! Running a creative business is so fun, rewarding, and exciting, but it certainly takes a lot of energy at times. Anyways, I hope you still enjoy this fun little prompt + giveaway I whipped up for you!

Based on my guided journal, Good Things Are Happening, your assignment this week is to draw or letter a little thing or feeling that has the ability to make your day, like the two examples I've provided above. Anything that you consider a 'tiny moment of joy' is fair game!

"Good Things are Happening" A journal for tiny moments of joy by Lauren Hom.

The second part of the challenge is to post your tiny moment of joy on Instagram with the hashtag #HOMwork so we can see what everyone created. In the caption, tell us why this tiny moment always has the ability to make your day or tell us a story about the last time this happened to you!

Make sure to complete & post your work before the next challenge comes out if you want a chance to be featured in my Story.

Good luck everyone! Can't wait to see what silly things make your day.

Love,
Lauren

Over the next few years (and thanks to the power of the internet), she leveraged a few clever passion projects into a thriving design career.

When she's not designing, you can probably find her cooking an elaborate vegetarian meal at home or finally making her way through the niche craft supplies she bought last year.
