WEEK 31 - The perfect day doesn't exis…..
Woah, it's Week 31 of HOMwork 2019!
(If this is your first time joining us, take a peek at our Challenge Archive for all previous assignments.)
A few years ago during an interview, I was asked to describe my perfect day. The 24-hour itinerary I listed out sounded blissful yet unachievable.
However, shortly after the interview I realized that the individual activities on that list weren't so unachievable. I could start incorporating them into my everyday life as soon as I decided to.
Just like how writing down your goals makes it easier to achieve them, compiling a list of activities that make you happy will make it easier for you to integrate them in your daily life.
Working hard for your goals is great, but we can't forget to enjoy the hell out of life on a daily basis. Whether it's taking a walk, picking flowers, eating your favorite food, or taking a nap at 4 in the afternoon, these small things can have a huge impact on our satisfaction with life.
One thing that never fails to make me happy is sitting down with my sketchbook and drawing for fun. Not for client work or for a project...just for me. I know this about myself...and yet sometimes I’ll get to the end of the week and be so stressed and realized I didn’t make any time for this simple thing that I know brings me joy (which is on me because I definitely had the time to watch Handmaid's Tale or scroll Instagram for a few hours).
So, this week's assignment is all about reflecting on the activities that bring us enjoyment and remembering that yes, we can make time in our busy schedules for them.
OMG FREE BRUSHES!
Awww yeah - as a HOMwork subscriber, you get two FREE Procreate brushes each week courtesy of DesignCuts.

Your Assignment: Design or letter a description of your perfect day!
Caption Idea: Tell us about one thing on your list that you want to try to do on a daily or weekly basis. This is a great way for your audience to get to know you and give them an opportunity to relate to you!
Engagement Tip: The word compersion means experiencing an empathetic state of happiness and joy when you see another individual experiences happiness and joy. So, this week I also challenge you to follow the hashtag#HOMwork on Instagram, see what makes other people happy, and comment if it resonates with you!
Don't forget to tag me @homsweethom because I'll be sharing my faves in my Story all week!
Love,
Lauren
