WEEK 30 - So...I have some good news for you!
Hey HOMwork friends, happy Friday!
(If this is your first time joining us, take a peek at our Challenge Archive for all previous assignments.)
This week we have an amazing guest teacher, one of my best friends from college, former roommate, and designer extraordinaire Zipeng Zhu!
Zipeng is a Chinese-born designer, art director, illustrator and animator in New York City who wants to make everyday a razzle-dazzle musical. His clients include Adidas, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Twitter, Netflix, Harry’s, Viacom, The New Yorker, Fox, Animal Planet, CNN, Refinery29, Chobani, and Samsung. He has worked at Pentagram and Sagmeister & Walsh. He was one of the Art Directors Club Young Guns 13 winners and has been recognized as Print magazine’s New Visual Artist and The One Show Young Ones. He has recently started his own creative studio Dazzle to make everything dazzling.
From Zipeng:
We live in a world filled with bad news breaking everywhere every day, and honestly, it's easy to let that break us as well. So as an antitode to all the negativity we're going to be putting some good news out into the world!
OMG FREE BRUSHES!
Awww yeah - as a HOMwork subscriber, you get two FREE Procreate brushes to play with every week, courtesy of DesignCuts.

Your Assignment: Letter or design the front page of a "good news" paper. Make each headline something positive and uplifting.
This is a great exercise in copywriting and remembering our power as designers to bring optimism, color, and razzle-dazzle into our sometimes bleak world.
Caption Idea: Write a mission statement for your newspaper. Tell your "readers" what you're all about.
Don't forget to tag @homsweethom and @zzdesign then follow and use the hashtag #HOMwork so we can see all the good news that's fit to print! We’ll be sharing our favs in our stories all week!
Love,
Zipeng & Lauren
P.S. You can catch on past Q&As here.
