Hello and welcome to Week 30 of #HOMwork!

This week's assignment is inspired by a passion project started by one of my fabulous Passion to Paid students, Vera Drmanovski.

ArtWord of the Week is an illustrated collection of uncommon English words. Born out of the idea of combining her passion for lettering and language, this project is all about helping you expand your vocabulary in a beautiful way. Vera’s goal is to illustrate as many of these obscure words as possible.

Inspired by Vera's project, your assignment this week is to letter or design your favorite uncommon word! (Psst...mine is 'superfluous' because it's so fun to say.)

If you need help getting started, make sure to check out ArtWord of the Week by following @vera.drmanovski, the hashtag #artwordoftheweek on Instagram, or visiting the project's website.

After you complete the assignment, the second part of the challenge is to snap a photo of your drawing and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #HOMwork so we can see what uncommon word everyone chose. In the caption, give us the definition of your word and tell us a little bit about why you picked it!

As always, I'll be featuring my favorite pieces from this week in my Story. Remember to tag me and @vera.drmanovski in your posts so we don't miss 'em.

Can't wait to see your work!

Love,
Lauren
