WEEK 40 - Fill In The Thank You
Let's Be Allies!
Hello and welcome to Week 40 of #HOMwork!
Another week, another incredible guest teacher!
This week meet Chantal Psota Ball, Chantal is a Designer and Lettering Artist living in Salt Lake City. Born and raised in Switzerland, she moved to Utah about 8 years ago. Chantal loves lettering and the intricate process of creation, particularly the moment the piece really starts to take shape. Chantal is the proud mommy of a very independent little girl and a super mellow little boy. She loves taking them on adventures and exploring the world.
Take a look at her work on her website and follow her on Instagram to add some positive vibes to your feed.
From Chantal:
I believe in the power of a heartfelt “Thank you” as a way for us to express love, appreciation, and positivity. You can’t thank someone and be in a negative state of mind at the same time, it's just not possible.
A few months ago I launched a challenge called #LetsBeAllies. It is all about support and using our time and energy to lift others up. I believe that if we focus on being better allies to each other we won’t have time to focus on bringing ourselves or others down. I created the challenge because I wanted to spread positivity and thank the allies in my life. Which leads us to your HOMwork assignment for this week...
This week's HOMwork:
Think of someone you appreciate, someone who has supported your work, or is always there for you and write them a little thank you note.
Letter “Thank you for ______” and fill in the blank with whatever it is you are grateful for. Then tag them in the piece and write the rest of the thank you note in the caption.
It's important to think a little bit each day about the support we get from others and how to make them feel seen and appreciated. Use the hashtag #HOMwork so everyone can see the great network of allies out there!
Don’t forget to tag @psotaball, and me @homsweethom, so we can see your Thank You Notes! We'll be sharing our faves in Stories all week.
And in case you didn't know, we're SUPER thankful for all of you!
Love,
Chantal and Lauren
